Appointment Announcement — Council Commissioner — Nova Scotia

Dear Scouters,

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Howard Eaton as Council Commissioner for Nova Scotia Council effective immediately.

Howard was born in Halifax, NS, and raised in Shearwater, NS, where he began his Scouting "career." Howard joined the RCMP in 1980 have recently retired after completing 35 years of service with over 20 years in leadership positions. Howard comes to us with a strong background in team building and working through challenging situations. Since 2000, he worked in Senior Management positions leading large diverse teams through change and to new levels of excellence through positive attitude and strong interpersonal relationships. This will help bring Nova Scotia's Key 3 (Council Commissioner, Council Youth Commissioner and Executive Director) to a much stronger place when it comes to change as we move to the One Scouts Canada model.

Howard currently resides in Kingsport, NS, with his wife and looks forward to getting out and meeting our volunteers throughout our Council.

Please join us in welcoming Howard to the National Service Team. Howard can be reached at howard.eaton@scouts.ca.
