Invitation to ‘Oh SNAP! A workshop for youth on community change for health’

02/02/2019 - 9:00am - 3:00pm

All across the country, youth are using their voices to make change in their communities. In 2018, youth in Nova Scotia documented their challenges, hopes and experiences about food and physical activity through photos and discussion.
Join us on February 2nd to see their photos, participate in engaging activities and take opportunities to have your own conversations about the health topics that matter to you. We’ll also have art supplies on hand so you can express your learnings and reflections creatively to take home or be shared with decision-makers.
- Date: Saturday, February 2nd, (Snow date is Saturday February 9th)
- Time: 10:00am - 4:00 pm
- Location: Halifax Central Library, BMO Room (5440 Spring Garden Rd)
- Lunch and snacks will be provided
- This workshop will help Scouts work towards their Chief Scout Award and Ventures work towards their Queen Ventures Award. It can also count towards the discovery day portion of the Scouts of the World Award.
Whether you have a specific issue you care about or just want to come out for food, fun and learning, this workshop is for you!
